3-Day DEA Task Force Officer Orientation Training      

This 32-hour course gives up to 60 full-time DEA Task Force Officers the benefits that DEA Special Agents receive during Basic Agent Training (BAT) in DEA’s Academy in Quantico, relative to Report Writing, Policies, Procedures and other necessary knowledge needed to function in the day-to-day investigative activities within a DEA Task Force.  DEA Division will be coordinated with to provide certain blocks of instruction such as: Legal updates, CS documentation, Asset Forfeiture documentation and Evidence Processing are just some of the topics.

 

2-Day Informant Management For Concealed Assets Seminar            

This 16-hour course gives up to 30 Narcotic Investigators the necessary tools to utilize Informants to their full capacity for assisting in identifying potential assets for seizure.  Instruction includes identifying Informant motives, proper documentation, debriefing skills & techniques, with an emphasis on asset identification and seizures.  Role playing and report writing exercises are also included.   Students will learn from hands-on exercises how to properly debrief and document informant interactions and court preparation.

 

2-Day Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations Seminar

This class will include intelligence on Mexican trafficking organizations and the surge of violence on our borders.  The instructors will identify cartel hit men operations and cartel sponsored gang enforcement activities presently ongoing in the United States.  Further, an overview of the organizational structure of Mexican drug trafficking groups, identifying methods of operation, drug routes, cartel training facilities, enforcers, and the Mexican government strategy to deconstruct these organizations will be offered, as well as methods and techniques to combat these dangerous traffickers.  Topics include: Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations, Conspiracy Investigations, Informant Development & Debriefings, Use of Wiretap Investigations, and Undercover Operations Targeting Mexican Traffickers.

 

2-Day Asset Forfeiture Investigations               

You don’t have to be an accountant to identify assets and make asset seizures. This class teaches the principles of Federal and State specific asset forfeiture laws, and compares them to determine which is best for each case.  The right and wrong uses of asset sharing funds, and proper evidence handling is emphasized.  Instruction and case studies will familiarize officers with conducting financial investigations, net worth analysis, money laundering and dealing with contested seizures.  Proper Informant documentation and debriefing skills will be addressed, as will report and seizure warrant preparation.
